Britten Sinfonia na Lunch
Koncerty z Serii lunchtime w wykonaniu Britten Sinfonia powracają w nowym sezonie w grudniu 2009 roku i nadal charakteryzują się bardzo dobrym repertuarem. Obok utworów klasycznych pojawiają się dzieła współczesne, które zostały skomponowane na specjalne zamówienie Britten Sinfonia Orchestra na użytek tej serii.
W tym sezonie o napisanie premierowych kompozycji zostali poproszeni następujący twórcy muzyki współczesnej: Christian Mason – uczeń Harrisona Birtwistle, nowojorczyk Nico Muhly, Niemiec Urlich Kreepein oraz Gwilym Simcock, na którego twórczość duży wpływ ma muzyka jazzowa.
Britten Sinfonia za serie koncertów Lunchtime zdobyła Royal Philharmonic Society’s Chamber Music Awards 2009 ( Królewska Filharmonnia Towarzystwa Muzyki Kameralnej).
Podczas piątego sezonu koncerty będą wykonywane w takich miastach jak: Birmingham, Cambridge, Londynie, Norwish i w Polsce w Krakowie.
Koncerty w Cambridge są nagrywane przez radio BBC 3 i będą transmitowane latem 2010 roku.
W tym sezonie odbędą się cztery serie koncertów:

Britten Sinfonia at Lunch 3: 2-9 marca 2010
